The quick answer
Yes, you can see both sides of Iguazu Falls in a single day: the Argentine side in the morning and the Brazilian side in the afternoon, with a private car that picks you up at Puerto Iguazú airport (IGR) or Foz do Iguaçu airport (IGU) and drops you at either one.
It's a long day, around 11 to 13 hours from landing to getting back to the airport, but it works well if you start early and your departing flight is in the late afternoon or evening. Your luggage rides in the trunk all day, so there's no need to stop at a hotel.
What you see on each side
- Argentine side: the bigger one, and the one that puts you right inside the falls. Walkways over the cascades, the Upper and Lower Circuits and the train to Devil's Throat, where the water drops at your feet.
- Brazilian side: the panoramic one. You see the whole chain of falls head-on, and a walkway reaches the base of Devil's Throat. It's quicker to walk.
How much time you need
- Argentine side: 4 to 5 hours for Devil's Throat and both circuits; more comfortable with 5 to 7.
- Brazilian side: 2 to 3 hours on foot.
- Driving and border: 1.5 to 2.5 hours between transfers and immigration, depending on the day and the line at the bridge.
One day or two?
If you can, two days is the comfortable way: one side per day, no rush. But when your arriving and departing flights leave you just one day, or it's your last day of the trip, doing both sides back to back is possible and worth it. If you have less than 9 free hours between flights, pick a single side instead.

Sample itinerary: land at 8 am, fly out at night
Approximate times: we fine-tune them to your flight, the time of year and the park hours that day.
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 08:00 | You land at IGR airport. We meet you with a name sign and your luggage goes in the trunk. |
| 08:45 | Arrival at Iguazú National Park (Argentine side). |
| 09:00–13:30 | Train to Devil's Throat, Lower Circuit and Upper Circuit. A quick lunch in the park. |
| 14:00 | We head to the Tancredo Neves Bridge and cross into Brazil (immigration: 30 to 60 minutes). |
| 15:15–17:00 | Iguaçu National Park (Brazilian side): panoramic walkway and the base of Devil's Throat. |
| 17:30 | We drive to Foz airport (IGU), very close to the Brazilian park. |
| 18:00 | You reach the airport with 2 to 3 hours to spare for a flight at 8:30 pm or later. |
Ending at IGR instead of IGU? That means crossing the border again, so add 1 to 2 hours at the end of the day: a flight at 9:30 pm or later works best.
Which side first, and how it works with IGR and IGU
Argentine side first
We recommend it almost every time: it's the longer visit, it opens early, and the train to Devil's Throat and the circuits have last-entry times. The Brazilian side is shorter and fits the afternoon, on the way to Foz airport.
Airport combinations
- IGR → lado argentino → lado brasileño → IGU: the smoothest: you cross the border once and end in Brazil, close to the park.
- IGR → lado argentino → lado brasileño → IGR: you cross twice, so you need a later flight.
- IGU → lado brasileño → lado argentino → IGR: if you land in Foz. The Argentine side gets shorter because you arrive in the afternoon: tell us your flight and we plan the route so you don't miss Devil's Throat.
- IGU → … → IGU: also possible; we adjust the order to your schedule.
What to bring for the two-falls day
- ID: you enter Brazil by land, so the usual documents apply (passport or Mercosur ID, plus a visa if your nationality needs one). See the border guide.
- Tickets: buy tickets for both parks online in advance (paid separately), so you don't lose time at the ticket window.
- Clothing and shoes: comfortable shoes, light clothes, sunscreen, a rain jacket or poncho and a dry change.
- Money: some cash and a card for food inside the parks. We accept pesos, reais and US dollars.
- Weather and water flow: after heavy rain or river floods some walkways can close, such as the Devil's Throat one. If that happens we adapt the day.
How much: on request
It's a fixed price per car (not per person) that we put together based on your starting and ending airport (IGR or IGU), your flight time and group size. We send it on WhatsApp before you confirm, with no deposit and free cancellation. Tickets to both parks are paid separately.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Can you see both the Argentine and Brazilian sides of Iguazu Falls in one day?
Yes. The usual way is the Argentine side in the morning and the Brazilian side in the afternoon, with a private car that crosses the border with you. It's a long day, around 11 to 13 hours, and works best if you start early.
Can I start at IGR airport and end at Foz airport (IGU)?
Yes, it's the smoothest combination: you cross the border once and end in Brazil, close to the park. You can also start at IGU, or end at the same airport you started from.
How many hours do I need for both sides?
About 4 to 5 hours on the Argentine side, 2 to 3 on the Brazilian side and 1.5 to 2.5 for driving and the border. In total, 9 to 11 hours on the move, and the full day runs around 11 to 13 hours.
Which side should I do first?
Almost always the Argentine side: it's longer, opens early and the train to Devil's Throat has a last-entry time. The Brazilian side is shorter and fits the afternoon.
What happens to my luggage during the day?
It stays in the car with us. You don't need to stop at a hotel or rely on the park lockers.
How much does it cost to see both sides of the falls in one day?
The price is on request: it's fixed per car (not per person) and we work it out based on your airports, your flight time and group size. We send it on WhatsApp before you confirm. No deposit and cancellation is free. Park tickets are paid separately.
What ID do I need to cross into Brazil?
A valid passport, or a national ID if you are from a Mercosur country. Some nationalities need a Brazilian visa: confirm it before you travel on the official site or with your consulate.
Is it better in one day or two?
Two days is more comfortable: one side per day, no rush. But if your trip leaves you only one day, or it's your last, doing both sides back to back is doable. With under 9 free hours between flights, pick a single side.
