What to see on the Argentine side

The Argentine side puts you closest to the falls: about three quarters of the waterfalls are in Argentina. You explore it on foot along walkways, so it's best to go early and plan a full day.

  • Devil's Throat: the most spectacular fall. You get there on the Rainforest Ecological Train and then along a walkway over the river to the very edge.
  • Upper Trail: walkways above the falls with panoramic views and little climbing.
  • Lower Trail: goes down through the vegetation to the base of the falls. Expect to get wet.

Bring sunscreen, insect repellent, water and something for the spray. When the river is high, the park sometimes closes the Devil's Throat walkway; we'll let you know before you leave.
